Project Description

Cross Currents

This extraordinary, interactive leadership theater presentation is staged as a lively debate between two of the most creative change agents and leaders of their time: Thomas A. Edison and George Westinghouse II. The event is hosted by Ms. Idabelle Firestone from her estate in Florida, with a special appearance by Mr. Henry Ford and Mr. Nicola Tesla.  These titans of industry debate the necessity for technological change, and the processes and operations that must accompany such change. Ideological differences help to create the tensions between the principals, and questions from the audience inspire the three men, as well as Mrs. Firestone, to take strong positions. This is a study of different and often opposing leadership styles, ideologies, and beliefs. And when the young Henry Ford adds his radical ideas for motorized carriages and assembly lines, both Edison and Westinghouse begin to recognize that they, too, must change with the times.
